Creating the Future of Digital Dentistry
On April 10, DIO successfully completed the meeting of the digital dental professional talent training project held at the new building of the Centum headquarters in Busan.
In preparation for attracting the National Institute of Dentistry to Busan, DIO, a global dental medical device company, Busan Metropolitan City's Advanced Medical Industry Department, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, and professors of dental hygiene at Universities in Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam gathered to talk about the future of digital dentistry.
The digital dental professional talent training project is a project to provide cutting-edge digital dental education opportunities for prospective dental hygienists who are about to graduate, train digital dental professionals, and match the talents to excellent dental clinics in the region. In addition, they also talked about the ‘digital dentistry education support project’ for dentists, dental technicians, and dental hygienists.
In particular, in this project, DIO is expected to contribute to job creation for youth and revitalization of the local economy by discovering local talent based on unrivaled technological prowess.
Director of DIO Kangjun Choi said, "With this project, we will continue our education support project to foster talent. We will strengthen the foundation for the future of the digital dentistry industry by fostering talented people who can respond to the rapidly changing dental environment."
Meanwhile, DIO and Busan Metropolitan City established the Busan Digital Dentistry Academy in 2018 and have trained a total of 2,800 digital dental experts from around the world, including Korea, and have been recognized as professional educational institutions.
