EXPERIENCE NEW DIGITAL DENTISTRY: We are pleased and honored to announce DIO International Meeting 2018 will be held in the remarkable city, Busan in Korea.

Interview

Please introduce yourself briefly. I know you have attended DIM event for quite long time, can you tell us how you feel about DIM?: It was my first time to attend DIO International Meeting in 2008 and it seemed that DIO appealed strongly only DIO implant system because company was not well known to foreign dentists at the beginning. However, over the years, DIO International meeting seems to have evolved into a venue for festival that shares up-to-date information on the dentistry industry and conduct various academic exchanges.
In particular, this year's theme is 'All New Digital', which is a hot issue in dentistry industry, and DIM will bring the famous domestic and international lecturers including live surgery and share the latest trends with various clinical cases. Also, among the invited international lecturers, there are many excellent lectures that I would like to hear, and it seems to be a very good opportunity for me not only to participate as lecturer, but also listen to lectures I wished.

You have done a lot of lectures. How do you feel about doing live surgery in this DIM?: In the last year, a number of lectures internationally have exceeded 10 times, so there were many opportunities to interact with foreign dentists. However, DIO International Meeting is a global symposium attended by more than 1,000 people worldwide.
It is an exciting and honorable place to share the latest trends and knowledge of digital dentistry with dentists around the world. It will also be the first to introduce Full Digital Workflow Live Surgery at DIO International Meeting. I would like to show you the full digital workflow with real procedure that both the patient and the doctor can be satisfied with. I hope you all can have time to see and feel.

Beyond the one-day implant, you will do live surgery under the theme '2Hours Implant'. What is the 2Hours Implant Live Surgery?: In the past, it was difficult to do prosthetic procedure in one day. However, live surgery will be presented at DIO International Meeting as a full digital workflow called 'DIO Digital Chairside Solution'. Patient visits and diagnosis, procedure planning, design, guide and provisional prosthesis output, implant placement and provisional prosthesis closure are all completed within 2 hours when patient stays in the dental clinic. Also, although the fast time of 2 hours is important, I think that the more important thing is the correct treatment. I was very surprised that this system was developed in DIO, and at the same time I was very proud of myself as I participated in the study.

What are the advantages of '2Hours Implant' surgery in terms of patients and surgeons?: In recent busy life, patients can not spend much time in treatment. Especially, for those patients who come from a long distance or who want to visit overseas for treatment, quick and accurate '2 hour implant' can be a very satisfactory solution. Also, it is a great advantage that the pain after the operation is less, the recovery is faster, and it is esthetically excellent and the social life is possible immediately.
For the surgeon, I think that the full digital medical treatment system is predictable, fast and accurate, and above all, it is the most convenient. And I think it is the best competitiveness of our dental clinic.

The wind of ‘Digital’ blows in the dental industry. You will also work on a full digital solution for this live surgery. What about the 'DIO Digital Chairside Solution' to be shown this time?: As the paradigm shifts in the dental industry due to the 4th Industrial Revolution, the system in the dentistry is rapidly transforming into a digital workflow. DIO Digital Chairside Solutions is a solution that allows patients to receive painless and comfortable dental care with innovative technology and digital prosthetic solutions.
In particular, it dramatically reduces the steps from diagnosis to treatment in the hospital. I think that it is an innovative "Digital Chairside Solution" that can be done quickly and accurately in all cases such as the case of the edentulous case, the maxillary frontal aesthetic case.
