“I believe in the power of predictable digital data”

Predictable digital care starts with the accumulation of accurate data.
My love for DIOnavi. starts from there.

Byungbok Ahn, the director of Seoul S-Class Dental Clinic, is a dentist with a unique curriculum vitae of research on artificial intelligence and digital data at Stanford University and holds related patents. He received the Samsung Research Award for his paper on semiconductor and big data analysis from Samsung Electronics, and he is interested in ways to understand the power of digital and apply it to healthcare sector.
Dr. Byungbok Ahn opened the dental clinic in Namdong-gu, Incheon after a long career as a salaried dentist. Dr. Ahn, who mainly experienced the analog way of practice including manually writing and managing charts when he was a Pay Doctor, felt that the era of digital treatment is gradually approaching as implant surgery and orthodontics have already accumulated digital data.
For convenience and usefulness, he bought an oral scanner the beginning of his dental practice to provide digital treatment, and he has already surpassed 1,000 cases with DIOnavi.

The power of digital lies in the predictability of treatment
Dr. Ahn believes in the power of digital in dental care and proves it in the field of daily practice. Digital implant surgery using DIOnavi. is a typical example. With his vision of becoming a “Seoul S-Class Dental Clinic that provides friendly and effective treatment” in his neighborhood, digital treatment was used as a competitive edge.
When studying at Stanford, he predicted that digital development would bring many changes to the medical field in the future. He thought that in the case of dentistry, the era could come when remote treatment or systemic diseases could be possible. In the field of dentistry, many parts such as charts as well as videos have already been digitized, so when digital data is accumulated, search is easy and information can be extracted.
He thought that meaningful data mining would be possible based on such information, which would lead to various changes in medical care. As digital data on implant surgery and orthodontics has already been accumulated, digital treatment processes, not analog methods, can be predicted, so the treatment process has changed a lot from the past for both clinicians and patients. The patient's occlusion can also be measured objectively through scan data.
Experience of 1,000 holes in the DIOnavi.
Thanks to the digital-based treatment that Dr. Byeongbok Ahn has been pursuing since opening, Seoul S-Class Dental introduced DIOnavi. from the beginning of its opening and surpassed 1,000 holes by the end of 2021.
The reason why DIOnavi. was selected among several implant guide systems on the market is that the procedure can be performed quickly and accurately and pain can be minimized. If the mouth is small or the implantation path is not suitable, the implant placement direction may be inaccurate. In addition, in the process of opening the flap to check the bone condition in the oral cavity, patients with systemic diseases may experience various side effects such as pain, swelling, and delay in soft tissue healing.
DIOnavi. is a flapless surgery, one of the characteristics of the implant guide system, making implant surgery easy. In addition, unlike other implant guide systems, metal sleeves are adopted, so there are fewer fracture or directional errors of the implant guide that may occur during drilling.
In particular, the use of DIOnavi. has reduced the burden of surgery as a clinician in the field of treatment and management, and it is helping employees to improve their training opportunities and competency by educating employees on how to scan the oral cavity.
Thanks to this, it also motivates employees. Patients are also satisfied with the prognosis of implant treatment thanks to the simple and short procedure time. In addition, the fact that data can be managed collectively on the DIO homepage is also an advantage, so data management that has been accumulated as a long-time user was advantageous.
UV is the trend for implants
Seoul S-Class Dental Clinic has been using DIO UV implants for DIOnavi. procedures since UV was first released. UV implants not only maximize the hydrophilicity of the implant surface, but also thorough lot management keeps replacing implants after a year with new products, making it advantageous to manage implant cycles.
Dr. Ahn, who gave a good score to DIO's zealous quality control, is a DIO fan who meticulously sticks to DIOnavi. and UV implants since the opening. Dr. Ahn said, “There is no dentist that has as much know-how as we do when it comes to DIO UV implants.” He gave DIO’s quality control and customer responsiveness generous points.
Dr. Ahn said, “All clinicians, as dentists, naturally try to provide good treatment to patients and treat them without any problems. By borrowing the power of predictable digital, it will help dentists overcome difficulties caused by errors or poor condition during surgery. It is difficult to get used to it like riding a bicycle, but if you can borrow the power of digital, you can provide better treatment to patients. As the field of dentistry is also digitalized, the era of meaningful data mining is approaching.
