DIOnavi.', “Adding digital to implants”

Dr. Dong-yeol Lee of Seoul EL Dental Clinic in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, said that after graduating from Seoul National University School of Dentistry, he worked as a public health physician in Icheon, where his current practice is now located. This is the story of Dr. Lee, who started out as a 'neighborhood dentist' and gradually became known for his expertise and outstanding skills, and finally has grown into a star dentist in Icheon.

“In Icheon alone, we have undergone expansion constructions three times. It has grown from a small neighborhood clinic to a fairly large hospital. In a close-knit community unlike Seoul, communication between people and organizations is essential. The implications of this are great. It is about “understanding” each other. It would have been difficult for Seoul EL Dental Clinic to come this far if I had been arrogant as a dentist or just stayed in the hospital and treating patients.” Dr. Lee explained that he is continuing communication as a member of the local community and serves as the basecamp for protecting the oral health of local residents.
Dr. Lee added, “Just interacting with the local community does not guarantee the success of a practice. It can only be said to fulfill its duty only when the quality of treatment delivered as the patient's condition is accurately diagnosed and appropriate treatment is provided. In particular, I should mention ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ at this point. It’s because we’ve been using DIO products since its initial launching, so we feel the changes that DIO brought with our skin.”

“In 2016, when I came across ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’, I decided to try digital dentistry at last. At first, I was introduced to it by the DIO sales representative, and I had doubts at the time. However, it was a time when I feeling the need for change, and I believed that if I could provide a better implant treatment to the patient, I could accept the change.”
He continued, “I think the most important considerations for dentists when placing implants are condensed into two things. One is 'how accurately it can be planted' and the other is 'even if it is accurate, how comfortable does the patient feel in the end'. ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ satisfies on both ends."
The warm heart brought by ‘DIOnavi.’
Seoul EL Dental Clinic, which made digital changes through ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’, is so popular with local patients that he operates three oral scanners to meet the needs.
Seoul EL Dental Clinic’s continuous communication with the local community has earned it a reputation as ‘a dental clinic you can trust in Icheon’, and ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ played its part as a digitalization partner.

Dr. Lee, who knows the superiority of the product better than anyone, through more than 5,000 implants of ‘DIOnavi.’ implants and more than 100 ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ procedures, said, “I have tried other products at the recommendation of other companies. However, ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ was the perfect solution for me. In addition to products, the entire ‘DIOnavi.’ protocol fits to the structure of my practice like a glove, not to mention the excellent follow-up service and communication by DIO. As far as I know, there is no other company that does such delicate management.”

In the case of patients who have had implants placed, it is difficult to eat properly as most of them have temporary dentures loaded on the day of surgery. Dr. Dong-yeol Lee said, “Patient satisfaction is very high as ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ lets you eat normal food on the same day of surgery. Before introducing ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’, I also faced difficulties managing such concerns of patients, but now I feel confident allowing them to eat foods and the patient feedback is amazing. In addition, many positive changes were brought upon our practice since we started using Full Arch’. It is good because the treatment time is shortened and so the patient turnover is faster, and the patient is also comfortable. Also, in the case of our staff, they have to make special efforts to learn the DIOnavi. protocol which serves as special skills they can take pride in.”

Currently, South Korea is now a de facto aging society. In Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, the proportion of the elderly is also greater because it’s suburban locale. The senior portion of demographic is a common attribute that can be found in many other practices located in suburban areas.
He said “Many patients are elderly people. There are many edentulous patients. In general, for edentulous patients, the standard implant procedure takes about 6 months. Of course, not all elderly patients are like that. But if bone is sufficiently there, ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ can be completed in one month. 3 months at the most. This is a very strong merit which attracts more elderly people to our dental clinic through word of mouth in the local community.”

Dr. Dong-yeol Lee said, “I would call ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’ as the ultimate digital dentistry. It is a solution that satisfies all three factors: patient, satisfaction, and dentistry clinic. I’m not saying this because this is a user interview, but as an actual user. Rather, I'm curious to see what your next step will be.
I think that digital dentistry is making a little change in dentistry and in a world that is so bleak. Through this digital transformation and ‘DIOnavi. Full Arch’, many patients can regain their oral health and their lives are enriched, so I think digitalization of dentistry is really contributing to the humanity.”
