interview

“A comfortable companion for both the patients and the clinicians.”

Fell in love with the accuracy and convenience of 'DIOnavi.' in the training days
Found out that DIOnavi has advantages of predicting procedures using 3D computers

Dr. Seokjun Ha of E-NEED Dental Clinic, who has been in its fourth year since its opening, is a user who uses most of the implant cases as "DIOnavi." of DIO.
In his training days, he was fascinated by the convenience and accuracy of the procedure while encountering digital guides from various companies, and after he opened his clinic, he began to have a digital lineup in his Clinic. Having used several guide systems, it was clear why he was attracted to "DIOnavi." He was not only attracted to the accuracy but he was also attracted to DIO's efforts to actively study digital systems.
Dr. Ha said, "The navigation implant 'DIOnavi.' determines the best treatment method after three-dimensional computer simulation," and added that, "Especially, the drilling sequence is a little more detailed and accurate because DIO is the leader of the guide system." "Unlike other guide systems, there are metal sleeves in the holes to reduce wear and crack generated during the process."

Gained a Competitive Edge with Digitalization
"DIOnavi." proceeds through digital data through the entire treatment process and checks the location, angle, and depth of the set-up with a 3D computer to match the individual's mouth structure, gum, and bone before surgery. Patient satisfaction is high thanks to the safe treatment that checks the process in advance.
In 2017, when Director Ha was preparing to open his clinic, digital guide surgery was not widely available, but his decision to actively introduce navigation implants has now become a competitive advantage only for E-NEED Dental Clinic.
"Most dentists can perform implant procedures, but if you have a competitive edge in dentistry, you can increase the patient's consent rate," he said and added that "Patients are usually afraid of dental treatments.
But if we explain the difference between general and digital implant procedures, patients are less reluctant to do the procedure."
"Implants are especially common among middle-aged and elderly people. Large percentage of patients for our clinic are in their 50s and 80s," he said. "So even if we cut the gums of the patients with systemic disease, it is less invasive and relatively gain less edema after the surgery, which reduces the discomfort of older patients."
A Dental Clinic where you can feel the warmth
Dr. Ha said, "It is his philosophy of medical treatment to understand and lessen the fear of patients visiting the Dental Clinic."
"To resolve the patient's vague fear of dental treatment, we help the patient to understand through sufficient explanation before treatment," he said. He also added that "We continue to give step by step explanations so that the patient does not question or worry about the ongoing process during the middle of treatment."
He added that this is "the minimum amount of care that can be given to a patient who is lying down with a cloth on his face and entrusting their body to a medical staff."
Digital is the trend of the times
Dr. Ha said, "Digital treatment is a trend in the dental world now. If even an unskilled clinician continues to use it, we can increase the credibility of digital implant procedures, and we will have the know-how to apply them to various clinical cases."
He said, "I want to be a dentist that patients need, just like our Dental Clinic's name 'E-need', which is a mixture of the Korean word for 'teeth'(pronounced as ‘E’) and 'need'. And I want our clinic to be remembered for a long time as a Dental Clinic where it feels comfortable and treats sick places with warmth.”
